Leadership in Manufacturing
E28: How to overcome failure & setbacks
January 4, 2022
Setbacks in life are inevitable. You can choose to view them as positive lessons instead. We should learn from our mistakes, but we shouldn't dwell on them. Minor setbacks can help us grow stronger and get closer to reaching our goals. You also need to take responsibility for your own success. If you want to be successful, you must take ownership of your actions and results. You will not achieve success if you blame others or circumstances for your failures. Instead, learn from your mistakes and make changes to improve yourself. In this episode, we have guest Darrell Evans, Digital Growth Strategist & Co-Founder & CMO of Yokel Local Internet Marketing. Darrell Evans talks about the MindShift Method - where you must make peace with the facts, make new decisions based on those facts, make a plan and make it happen. He also talks about how leadership is the art of being able to pivot and being interested in the outcome of the whole and just not really worried about your role in terms of who gets the credit. "We can't take responsibility for someone else's mistakes. But we got to take our responsibility for: Is there something I could have done as a leader to end up with a better outcome?" Darrell Evans.
